Privacy Policy

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Puzzle Story mobile application and related services (the “Services” or “App”) operated by Source Future (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The App is distributed via the Apple App Store (Bundle ID: com.mono.artpuzzle). This policy describes how we collect, use, retain, and disclose personal information of users (“you” or “your”).

1. Information We Collect and How

When you use our Services, we may collect the following categories of information:

1.1 Device and Identifier Information

When you install and use the App, we or our partners may automatically collect: device type, operating system and version, app version, language and time zone, mobile device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier IDFA), and IP address. This information is used to provide the service, analyze crashes and performance, and deliver and optimize advertising.

1.2 Usage and Game Progress Information

We collect information related to your use of the App, such as: time of use, features used, puzzle progress and completion history, and interactions with ads. Some game progress and history are stored locally on your device (e.g., via Realm, MMKV). Some may be synced to our servers (e.g., Firebase) where necessary for the feature or with your consent, for example to restore progress across devices or after reinstall.

1.3 Photo Library Access (Optional)

When you choose to save a completed puzzle image to your device’s photo library, we request photo library write access. We use this permission only when you actively choose “Save to Photos” and do not read or upload your other photos in the background.

1.4 Information Collected by Third-Party Services

We use the following types of third-party services, which may collect or process data under their own policies:

Each of these third parties has its own privacy policy. We recommend that you review their policies. We share data with them only as reasonably necessary to operate our Services.

1.5 Information You Provide

If you contact us via in-app feedback, support, or an email address we provide, we may receive your name or nickname, email, message content, and any screenshots you attach. We use this only to respond and improve our Services.

2. Purposes and Legal Bases for Using Your Information

We use the information above to:

You can limit ad tracking or disable push notifications in your device settings at any time. Where we offer in-app “Privacy settings” or “Advertising preferences,” you may manage options there as well.

3. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy and as required by law. Data stored locally on your device (e.g., Realm, MMKV) is removed when you uninstall the app or clear data. Server-side data is deleted or anonymized when no longer needed or after the maximum retention period permitted by law (e.g., no more than 5 years from collection). After that, you will not be able to exercise access, deletion, correction, or portability rights over that data.

4. Your Rights and Choices

You may exercise these rights via in-app Help/Feedback or by contacting us (see “Contact Us” below). We will respond within a reasonable time (generally within one month, or within any shorter period required by applicable law). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country.

5. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We may share your information in the following situations:

We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties. In jurisdictions where sharing identifiers with ad partners for advertising is treated as a “sale” or “share” (e.g., certain U.S. states), you may opt out as described in “Opt out of personalized advertising” above.

Cross-border transfers – Our Services may involve transferring data outside your country. We use contracts, standard contractual clauses, or other legally recognized mechanisms to ensure an adequate level of protection.

6. Children

Our Services are intended for users aged 16 and over (or the higher age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we hold data about a child, please contact us using the details below.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

The App or this policy may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

8. Supplemental Notice for California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights:

To exercise these rights, use in-app support or the contact details below. We will respond within the time required by law (typically 45 days).

9. Supplemental Notice for Virginia Residents (VCDPA)

If you are a Virginia resident, you have rights to access, correct, delete, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the “sale” of your data, and certain profiling. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise them, use the same contact methods above; we will respond within the time required by law.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the effective date at the top or bottom of the policy and may notify you via the App. Your continued use of our Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent for material changes.
